To get started as a referee there are a few steps to follow:
Register for the appropriate level as an official with USA hockey here. (If you have never reffed before, register as a level 1)

Sign up for a full day seminar. Our local one is October 15th 2022 at Lakeview Arena. If you can't make the Marquette one, you could attend a clinic anywhere. During the height of covid, they did online seminars. I don't know if they will offer that again this year. Keep a close eye on the website. They DO NOT send out a notice when the dates go up on the website.

Create an officials login, where you will be able to access your online test and modules, and view your progress.

Once you have attended a seminar, you will need to log into your officials account, complete an open book test and a set of modules. After you have completed all requirements, your crest, reffing card will be mailed to you.
Any questions for timekeepers and referees email Kristin Lystila . Kristin can be reached at klystila@gmail.com
All Referees must attend a clinic each year.
PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU DROP OFF A COPY OF YOUR NEW REF CARD. PUT IT IN THE REF MAIL BOX AT THE RINK.
